Both Minnesota natives, my husband and I wound up in Huntsville, AL through my former career in TV news. While the job didn’t stick, Dixie did.  We made our home in sweet home Alabama, where we are raising two sweet daughters, Serina and Sophia. I am a classic example of today’s conflicted maternal spirit. I write about motherhood, marriage, family, recovery, fitness and finances. I have yet to find balance, but sharing my stories—and maintaining my faith—helps me stay on the beam. By day, I am the Director of Development for WellStone, where we connect our community to health and well-being.
